Formation in wheat. Discovered at 11-08-2001 and reported at 14-08-2001 by Gerard Bos.

Report from Robert Boerman and Jan Willem Bobbink.

The day after Gerard Bos reported the Biddinghuizen formation to the DCCCS we went to Biddinghuizen to do some research. Once we entered the formation, sometimes we saw something 'jumping' in the formation, but we couldn't see what it was. First we thought it were crickets or little frogs, but we couldn't find them when we looked at the place where they landed. Later on, we saw some litle balls of light jumping out of the field. The diameter of these balls of light was approx. 3 to 4 cm.

The owner of the field could tell us that the days before Bos discovered the formation, it had rained a lot in Biddinghuizen. When the farmer entered the field, it was very muddy and if one had entered the field before, he would had seen some foot prints, but there were no prints at all.
