09- Stadskanaal (2), Groningen, 01-08-2001.

This formation was discovered at 01-08-2001 and reported by Hans Hesselink and Roel Toering, but is approx. a week old.

Report from Robert Boerman and Jan Willem Bobbink.

We had almost no time to finish the report of the Vledderhuizen formation, or we received another phonecall from Roel Toering. 'Come over here, we've got another formation near Stadskanaal' were his words on the phone. And so we went for the second time this week to Stadskanaal.

The formation was a week old when we entered the field. The person who discovered this formation, saw it a week ago, but reported it after a week. The formation looks a bit the same as the one which was found in the UK in 1994.

We found some nice details like cut off grass and wheat stalks and some blown nodes. A special detail is that at the border of the large central ring, was laying in grass. The wheat was laying under the grass and some stinging nettles which stands at the border of the formation had some burned leafs. We took some samples to send to the BLT research team for more research.
